The Speech I’d Give if I Were Trump

Posted by: By Tom Woods | June 01, 2018

Time to go for broke.

For all of Trump’s faults, the left wants to concentrate on alleged irregularities in the election, and/or Trump’s alleged “collusion” with Russia.

Trump’s policy toward Russia has actually been rather bellicose — by design or because he’s trying to fend off accusations of collusion, I don’t know.

If I were him, I’d hire Pat Buchanan, one of the great speechwriters, to write me an address to be delivered to a national audience.

There I would calmly lay out the forces arrayed against me. I would explain the nature of the Deep State. I would remind people of Chuck Schumer’s remark that if you mess with the CIA, they have “six ways from Sunday” of getting back at you. Is that how we want to live?

Since Trump’s foreign policy is not nearly as different as he said it would be or as his opponents feared, he could even say: I haven’t even deviated all that much from what previous presidents have done in foreign policy, yet they still come at me.

Why?

Because they fear I can’t be controlled. I’m a wild card. I don’t owe anyone anything. So even if they do approve of some of what I do, these are control freaks, and they do not know how to cope with someone they do not own.

Make no mistake: that, and for no other reason, is why they are trying to take me down in an open coup.

This speech would only intensify their struggle against him. But you know what? He doesn’t need this job.

He’s independently wealthy, owes no political favors, and can be perfectly happy doing something else.

Alerting Americans to the nature of the Deep State is more than any president in living memory has accomplished for the public, and it would be a speech even the lying historians couldn’t ignore.

Now:

You and I aren’t Trump.

In fact, I venture to say that Trump has more money than you and I, dear reader, put together.

We’re not going to match him in that area.

But we can aspire to one thing he has: living on our own terms.

Not having to live in fear of an employer or (if we have any) our enemies.

A newbie-friendly way to do that, that millions of people are already doing?

Affiliate marketing. You don’t need to create or invent anything. You just earn a commission whenever someone buys a product through your special link, which you can share on a blog, on Facebook, on Twitter, on YouTube, on Instagram, or via dozens of other free ways.

If you know what you’re doing, it yields you an incredible lifestyle, on your terms.

This week Matt McWilliams, whom I introduced you to on episode 1161 of the Tom Woods Show, is holding some webinars on how to do it.

But only at the one he’s doing for my readers — on Thursday, June 7 — will I be unveiling the Tom Woods Mastermind Group, where all of us, experienced and newbie, will help each other succeed.

Naturally, I don't recommend a product unless I have used and benefited from it myself, or I have researched it enough to determine it to be of good quality and likely to benefit my readers. I don't promote anything created by the swamp dwellers. Thanks for reading!
