Here are some resources we use and recommend. You’ll likely need at least a few of the items on this list, though of course you can get them through other providers if you prefer. But since we get asked about what we use, we decided to put all our indispensable resources in this one place. Note that some of the links below are affiliate links, which means we earn a commission if you click through and order something. We’ve researched and even used these products ourselves and had excellent results, and we think you will, too.

Web hosting. Bluehost is a common and reliable choice, and with its low prices, it’s an especially good option when you’re starting out. Get their hosting through our link and we’ll send you 24 tutorials on using WordPress (the blogging platform most people use). Landing pages. Every marketer needs a landing page builder. Landing pages are what generate leads and sales. They give visitors one option, so there’s no chance of distraction. We swear by LeadPages.

Podcasters’ Paradise. There is no better place to learn how to launch, grow, and monetize a podcast. My own podcast benefited enormously from the resources and strategies inside the members’ area. Check it out.

OptinMonster. Most people will leave your site and never return. That’s why it’s important to grab their attention – and, if possible, their email address – before they leave your site. Among many other features, OptinMonster, which we use, senses when visitors are about to leave your site, and generates a popup that invites them to share their email address. (You can offer a free eBook or some other opt-in gift to give them a good reason to hand over that address.) This way, you can email people you might never have been able to reach again.

You hate those popups, though, right? But they work. That’s why successful people use them.

Pretty Link. Affiliate links are ugly and messy. You certainly can’t give them out on a podcast or on the radio. You can make them short and memorable with an indispensable plugin that we use, called Pretty Link. Email marketing. Want to be successful online? You’ll need to start building an email list. A list of people who are interested in what you do or sell and who have consented to be emailed by you is a tremendous asset. At Happy Earner we use Aweber. Click here and get started for free.
