Your Comfort Zone is a Prison

Here’s something I’ll bet you never thought you’d do – but I’m sure some of you have secretly thought about it.

So far I’ve challenged you to take action in a variety of ways that might take you out of your comfort zone: e.g., starting a website, launching a podcast, or creating a product (like a card deck).

We all have our comfort zones. In principle there’s nothing wrong with them. But over time they can become like prisons.

Here’s what I’m challenging you to think about today: writing an eBook for Kindle.

Virtually every influential person you can think of has, at one time or another, written a book. It can position you as an authority. It can build your name recognition. It can open speaking and media opportunities for you. It can even earn you some dough.

But I get that it sounds like a scary proposition. And frankly, most people think of writing books as something other people do.

Writing books, creating products, launching a podcast, making a fortune from an affiliate site, building an email list, creating and selling an online course – that list of things other people do sure is long, isn’t it?

Maybe it’s time to start thinking another way.

On the other hand, the process of writing and publishing a Kindle eBook can seem daunting to a beginner. You have a lot more questions than you have answers.
