You Have One Sentence to Get People’s Attention; Here Are 147 Ideas

October 28th, 2016   |   By Tom Woods

Sign up for X and I’ll send you a free Y!

How many times have you heard that one?

OK, OK, I know you’ve heard it from me. But when I send you a free Y, it’s a pretty darn good Y.

Alas, it is not always so. Most of the “free eBooks,” “cheat sheets,” and whatever else I download are pure crap.

I am here with an exception.

My buddy Daniel Levis, who mercilessly drove out my bad email marketing habits, is giving away a special report called “147 Idea Starters for Email Marketing ON FIRE.”

This isn’t from the cutting room floor. This is material taken right out of Daniel’s paid product, Email Alchemy. It gives you a peek inside Daniel’s brain, and how he engineers winning email campaigns that bring in the sales.

Even if you think you’re not ready for this yet, someday you will be, and you’ll want this baby in your arsenal.

Daniel didn’t make a replay available of his webinar from earlier this week, but he’s agreed to do an encore webinar — again, no replays. Sign up for one of them and get his free report BEFORE YOU EVEN SHOW UP. You can be reading it one minute from now.

The webinar is tomorrow (Saturday), at 11am and 4pm Eastern Time.

I promise: you will learn a ton by watching him. You will actually ENJOY learning about email marketing. And you’ll get this free report right away, just as a gift for registering.

I was at the morning webinar early this week. Awesome. I’m still learning all this stuff myself, but I know for darn sure I have the best teachers.

In fact, did you know I once paid Daniel Levis $750 for just an hour’s consultation? I actually made him the offer. That’s what I valued his time and insight at.

You, by contrast, can learn from him for $0, plus get this non-hideous freebie.

Are you really serious about this stuff? Then at least grab your report by registering for tomorrow’s webinar:

The Key to Online Success, and (Almost) Nobody Knows How to Use It

October 27th, 2016   |   By Tom Woods

Mission critical for online success: build an email list.

Even if you don’t yet know what you’re going to need it for, what kind of product you might create to sell to the list, or what sort of affiliate offers you might pitch, get building.

Otherwise, people are visiting you online and leaving every day, and you can never reach them again.

Your email list is your single biggest asset as an online earner.

Your competitors, by the way, almost never know what to do with their email lists. Radio Shack was notorious for studiously taking down customers’ email addresses…and then never contacting them.

Dumb.

(How many Radio Shack stores have you seen lately?)

Or they think they’ll play Mr. Nice Guy and never sell anything in their emails. They just give stuff away all day long. Why, if we do nothing but give stuff away, people will love us and order through us when they’re ready!

Those, my friends, are the words of a chump.

So with real email marketing knowledge in exceptionally short supply, it’s on you if you’re not mopping the floor with the competition.

One of the best ways to do that is to learn from Daniel Levis, one of the great masters of the field. This is a guy who could sell you sand in the desert. And he knows how to use email.

As Daniel will tell you, you can’t mail out straight sales pitches. And you can’t be Mr. Nice Guy who never sells anything — that’s equally contemptible.

You have to combine entertainment and information with a pitch. It’s subtle. But it’s what the folks who are really cleaning up online know how to do.

The beauty of Daniel’s Email Alchemy program is that you don’t have to become a world-class writer to send out top-notch, high-converting emails that sell like crazy. Let Daniel do the work.

He’s produced a ton of email templates that supercharge sales in all kinds of niches. All you have to do is fill in some blanks to make them work for you. He produces more every month. It’s like having your own email marketing department, for a fraction of the cost.

And for advanced students, there’s also a complete, A-to-Z copywriting, strategizing, and guerilla-campaign-creation system that teaches you to do exactly what Daniel does.

Because some people want to become experts themselves… regardless of the vast array of templates that do it all for you.

(I myself once paid Daniel a small fortune for an hour of his time, by the way. Worth every penny.)

Today only, Daniel is including his Hot Hook Extraction Guide as a free bonus: this is what he uses with his clients to draw out stories, interesting angles, and weird facts to create compelling emails that sell.

Daniel did an email campaign for Todd Herman, who’s worked with 65 Olympic athletes, two self-made billionaires, the NHL, the NFL, and 19 Fortune 500 companies. He used the Hot Hook Extraction Guide to get the information he needed to put together a killer campaign.

And that’s his second bonus: the audio of his interview with Todd Herman, where you can hear Daniel close in on the key points in Herman’s story that will make his product sell.

On top of that, Daniel is handing you all 17 of the emails he wrote for the Todd Herman campaign, emails that sold Herman’s product like crazy.

That neat package is for just the first 20 people to join Daniel’s Email Alchemy Elite 2.0.

Let’s be blunt: you can either be the crusher or the crushee.

I vote crusher.

Get crushing:

Suddenly No Salary — Here’s What I Did Next

October 27th, 2016   |   By Tom Woods

In 2010, I took a leap in the dark.

For family reasons, we had to move from Alabama to Kansas. (Man, do I not want to relive that story.) And that meant I’d have no regular salary. I’d have to make a living as a freelancer — writing, speaking, and teaching.

For a while I made that work, but at the cost of making myself crazy and discombobulating our household — I had to be gone all the time on speaking trips to make things work.

That was a strain on everyone.

Plus, it was erratic: I had to accept every offer this month, because who knows if any will come next month? Awful. It was no way to live.

Things turned around when I developed my first non-book product, Liberty Classroom.

But they really, really turned around when I discovered that with a significant amount of up-front work (I have no get-rich-quick story to tell you, I’m sorry to report), I could generate additional income streams selling things as an affiliate.

These were things that I knew intimately and could speak about with authority.

I created an affiliate site for the Ron Paul Curriculum, for example, and drove free and paid traffic to it. I did similar things for other products.

Some worked, some didn’t. But I’ll tell you one thing: I didn’t have to be on the road nearly so much after that. And my five girls appreciated that.

Now my mother is doing the same thing. Her niche: game-room products. When someone clicks on your link and buys something like an air hockey table, the commission is pretty darn good.

I can say without fear of contradiction: Mom knows more than I do about this stuff now.

She learned from two of my friends: Andrew Hansen and his business partner Sara Young, the mom of 7 who became an expert affiliate marketer after deciding she wanted to stay home with her kids rather than leave home to get a job.

Andrew and Sara are holding a special event for you folks on November 3, where they’ll show you what they taught my mother.

This ain’t get-rich-quick, believe me. I’ve done it. But it’s definitely build-another-income-stream.

Make the time to be there. Register here:

The Key Selling Tool Most People Screw Up

October 25th, 2016   |   By Tom Woods

It’s email, of course.

Even now, it’s still by far the best way to sell anything online.

But as Daniel Levis pointed out in his recent interview with me, most people make one of two mistakes.

(1) They give away free content upon free content, only sheepishly selling anything, if ever.

(2) They send out nothing but straight sales pitches.

As with so many things, to get good at email marketing involves doing things other people don’t do. Yes, you should certainly sell in your emails — as Ben Settle says, if you have a product that can help people with a problem they have, it is your moral duty to make them aware of its existence.

But your sales pitch can’t be a sledgehammer.

It’s a subtle thing you need to pull off. And frankly, it takes practice, and guidance.

I strongly recommend you check out Daniel’s webinar tomorrow (Wednesday, October 26). He’s going to go over what you need to know. I’ve hired Daniel as a consultant for my own email, and I’ll tell you: you’ll want to take notes.

No replay of this webinar, but he’s having two sessions: 11:00am ET and 4:00pm ET. I’ll be watching the morning one.

Welcome to HappyEarner.com!

October 25th, 2016   |   By Tom Woods

Welcome to my new site, HappyEarner.com! Here I’ll share lots of stuff I’ve learned as an online earner myself. I’ve figured out quite a lot over the past six years of making my way in the world without a regular salary. Once in a while I’ll even discuss things that didn’t work, since we can often learn just as much from mistakes as from successes.

More posts to come later today, but for now, check out our Starter Guides, and welcome aboard!
